This incredible program is designed to take high polluting vehicles made 2006 and beyond off the streets and replace them with more energy efficient vehicles. Program Details

In an effort to take less pollutants out of the air, Stockton Honda is teaming up with the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District’s Drive Clean program. This program is only for people that live in the San Joaquin area and meet the vehicle and income requirements. The Valley Air District's Replace program extends its benefits to individuals whose household income falls at or below 300 percent of the federal poverty level (FPL). The table provided below outlines the available funding depending on various factors such as the type of vehicle you plan to purchase, your household income, and whether you reside in a Disadvantaged Community. Replacement Vehicles

-PHEV/EV: This category encompasses two subtypes:

• *PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle): These vehicles combine a rechargeable battery with a gasoline-powered generator to extend range. Example: Chevy Volt
• *EV (Electric Vehicle): These vehicles run solely on electricity stored in a battery, which is charged using an external power source. Example: Nissan Leaf

Eligibility and Restrictions

To see if you are eligible for this exciting program, head over to the Drive Clean in San Joaquin and answer a few simple questions such as how long you have had the vehicle, how old the vehicle is, and if you have a valid driver's license. Replacement funding cannot be stacked with the Drive Clean in the San Joaquin Rebate program; however, new vehicle acquisitions may qualify for the Clean Vehicle Rebate Project administered by the California Air Resources Board via the California Center for Sustainable Energy. Each household is limited to one vehicle replacement over its lifetime. Private party purchases are ineligible for consideration.
