Honda: Proudly Built in America
Built in America: Honda’s Commitment to U.S. Manufacturing
At Stockton Honda, we take immense pride in highlighting Honda's robust manufacturing presence in the United States. Over the past four decades, Honda has established itself as a significant contributor to American industry, building more than 31 million cars and light trucks domestically. In 2023 alone, Honda's U.S. plants produced over one million cars and light trucks, accounting for more than two-thirds of the Honda and Acura vehicles sold in the country. Honda's commitment to American manufacturing is exemplified by its extensive network of facilities and dedicated workforce. The company operates 12 manufacturing plants across the nation, producing approximately 3.5 million products annually. These facilities are responsible for a diverse range of products, including Honda and Acura vehicles and their engines, transmissions, and components; aircraft and aircraft engines; power equipment; and powersports products. Notably, more than 23,000 Honda associates are dedicated to building high-quality products in the U.S., reflecting the company's investment in local talent and communities.
Honda was recently featured in Cars.com’s 20th annual American-Made Index, which evaluated nearly 400 vehicles from the 2025 model year based on five key criteria: U.S. assembly, North American parts content, origin of engines and transmissions, and domestic labor. Five Honda models—the Ridgeline, Odyssey, Passport, Pilot, and Accord—earned top rankings, showcasing Honda’s strong American manufacturing presence, particularly in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. In fact, Honda had the most vehicles ranked in the top 10 of the index, with the Honda Passport and Ridgeline taking the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively. The company’s commitment to U.S. production is further emphasized by its long-standing investment in American facilities and workforce, including more than 30 years of vehicle production in the United States.
